Three-years-ago right before COVID-19 striking the world, I traveled to Tokyo to conclude the second decades of 21 centuries. 2011-2020 marked as a major change of my life as I lived in 5 different cities, and experienced a variety of changes in roles. I was constantly in motion, and my motor was change was inevitable, and adaptability was the key.
With COVID-19 hitting the world in 2020, the world turned up-side down and now fast forward as things start to normalize, we are entering the so called – New Normal.
In business, I’d categorize the time to three phases: 2011-2019 phase I, 2020-2022 phase 2, and 2023 phase 3, which is probably 3 times more complex than pre-COVID era due to recession and digital transformation.
This Friday I’m going to Tokyo for the 3rd time. Essentially, I aim at going to Japan to detox, and take a short break from work.
Bill Gates recently said “Take a break when you need to” in a commencement speech, and I think this trip will be great to give myself time to think and make sense of myself.
Focus / Meaning / Growth / Aligned with Purpose.
I plan on exploring Tokyo and Kyoto from 4 Cs: Consumers / Community / Culture / Continued Growth. Especially culture, Tokyo is going to be dope in so many aspects… Architect, design, retail therapy, cuisines, brands, and of course, fashion and lifestyle. The capital of Japan is the OG of streetwear culture. Too many to see and to think.
Will be living nearby the heartbeat of Tokyo – Tokyo Tower!
Find my Tokyo, part III, here we go!

Which ones should I pack? (I was once having more than 150+ shoes, got rid of 80+ after apartment moving in 2021, and my friends were laughing at me lol)

Tokyo Totem – A Guide to Tokyo.
