最近跟一個美國同事因一個新的生意機會有很深刻的討論。

市場上不同的競品選項，各有利弊，讓我對於如何展開思考有點困頓。

跟他開會，聽完我的困難點後，他一語道破地說：”這世界有很多問題，事實上有太多問題，但我們要明確地點出，到底哪個是我們需要投入去關注解決的消費者問題。我們的專屬問題。”

“The word has a lots of problems, actually too much problems, we gotta find out which one is our problem, ours only, and come up with solution against it.”

的確，打開新聞，大到國際情勢如：

俄羅斯、烏克蘭戰爭。

台灣選舉人政黨、政見。

中國、台灣、新加坡、日本、美國經濟局勢與發展。

對國際局勢的影響。

產業變動：

Farfetch奢侈電商估值縮水被併購。

Dior簽周杰倫、迪麗熱巴大舉投資中國市場。

奢侈品、飲料、運動品牌跨界聯名新玩法。

世界的變動速度與局勢以指數的比例在改變。

新聞，(畢竟現在所有的東西都可以做成新聞，某種程度新聞已死。) 或者是說”消息”的真真假假，與”有價值的消息”，”有趣的觀察”，與”有價值的洞察與觀點”，藏在不同的渠道與言談之間，特別不容易識別、收藏、與深度思考。

趁著回台灣體檢，跟不同的朋友聊了一下，在不同溫層之間，產生激盪了很多思考。”Provoke thinking.”

聊聊如何養生、如何潛水、如何判斷政見，各種聊。

那些矽谷的、中國的、台灣的、新加坡的、日本的、小琉球的談話。

我發現，最難的是如何言之有物的把大道理說成一個簡單易懂、動情動聽、符合觀眾的故事。

清晰的場景與”產生共情的敘事能力”。

Relate & relavant.

People always remember how you make them “feel” instead of what you “say.”

在飛機上又讀了ZERO TO ONE的前幾個章節。

“What important truth do very few people agree with you on?”

“試問一個很重要的你相信的真理，卻非常少人跟你意見一致？”

然後我又回去想了美國同事跟我說到的那個問題。

突然間思考就通暢了…。

剩下兩週即將揮別2023，現在或許是個總結的好時機，對吧？

Xiao Liuqiu – 小琉球 – is an island ourside of southern Taiwan, with beautiful oceanic scenery. My memory with the island was when I was around 10 year old, I took a boat with my parents, and saw beautiful sea turtles swimming in crystal clear water. And yes, it is an tiny place. Spend 20 minutes you can ride across half of the entire island.

Rode a scooter here myself to see the sunset. Cloudy, didn’t get what I wanted. But got to talk with a local gentlemen about his life journey on this island with his dad, and how they went fishing 50 years ago. Pure & beautiful.
